Applications to Confirm with Your IT Team Before Training
Because organizations approve different technologies for business use, some learners may need to request access to the applications we use for Archer training. In certain private/dedicated courses, we can adjust the virtual platform. In other cases, the platform is fixed and must be accessible from your network or personal device.
The list below outlines the primary applications used in Archer training and what you may need to verify with your IT team.
Skytap (now owned by Kyndryl) - (Virtual Lab Environment)
Skytap is our standard platform for hands‑on labs. Content is hosted in three regions to reduce latency: US‑Central, EMEA, and APAC‑2.
Before your course, run the Skytap Connectivity Checker and test against one of the regional servers.
- Green or yellow results indicate acceptable connectivity.
- If you cannot access the link, or receive a red result:
- Disconnect from VPN and test again.
- Try a different computer or network.
- If issues persist, contact your IT team to request access from within your company network.
Virtual Meeting Platforms (Instructor‑Led Courses)
Our primary virtual delivery platform is Microsoft Teams.
For private courses purchased for a single organization:
- If your organization does not use Teams, we may ask you to host the meeting using Zoom, WebEx, or another approved platform.
- Please ensure our instructor is granted presenter rights.
Archer Community / Archer Academy Login
If you have not yet created your Archer account, your IT team may need to allow access to:
This domain was introduced in early 2022, and some organizations initially needed to explicitly approve it.
To learn more about account setup, see Training Portal Login.
Credly (Certification Badges)
Credly is used to issue official Archer certification badges.
After passing an exam, expect an email within approximately one week inviting you to accept your badge.
LearnUpon (Archer Academy Learning Portal)
LearnUpon hosts our new learning portal. Access issues are rare, but if your organization restricts external learning platforms, you may need to request approval.
Explore the portal via the Archer Training Catalog Store.
Safe‑Sender Recommendations
To prevent training‑related emails from landing in junk folders, consider adding these domains to your safe‑sender list:
- skytap‑portal.com
- credly.com
- learnupon.com
- id.archerirm.cloud
If you’ve encountered other access or preparedness issues we should clarify, please contact the Archer Academy team with your suggestions.
