Archer announces the General Availability of Document Governance Release December 8th, 2025.
Release Details
We've altered how changes are reconciled and merged when multiple users are editing different versions of a document at the same time to reduce the changes of work being accidentally lost or overwritten. This involves an additional prompt when merging incoming changes to give users the opportunity to see how those changes will be reconciled and intervene if necessary.
Key Features
- Improved Merge Behavior - Notification when changes could be overwritten.
- Background Feature - Document Types is now available to be turned on manually. Nothing will change unless you are in the Beta program.
Release Window
- We will be performing the upgrade on December 8, 2025 between 7-9am ET.
