Summary
Archer announces the General Availability of Document Governance Release September 2nd, 2026.
Release Details
This release lets admins add and manage values directly in the metadata modal, and fixes an issue with the print function's footers.
Add and Manage Values in the Metadata Modal
Admins can now add new value rows and toggle values between active and inactive directly in the metadata modal, so value lists stay accurate without permanently deleting values from the system.
How it works:
- The "Add value" control appends a new row with an empty name field and focus on that field. If the field is mapped to a values list, an empty Archer mapping dropdown appears alongside it.
- Rows can be removed before the modal is saved. Once saved, rows are locked, though the name can still be edited.
- Changes aren't persisted until the modal is saved. Canceling discards all unsaved additions and changes.
- The Archer values list dropdown is hidden when a field isn't mapped, or is mapped to something other than a values list.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the print function's footers, along with the red/green change lines, weren't available at every stage of the document workflow. These elements now print consistently regardless of the document's stage.
Release Window
We will be performing the upgrade on September 2nd, 2026 between 9:00PM-12:00AM CT.
