Archer announces the General Availability of Document Governance Release October 14th, 2026.

Release Details

This release lets document authors add metadata fields to document headers, alphabetizes document types in the document creation wizard, and includes fixes for PDF title formatting and version creation.

Add Metadata Fields to Document Headers

Document authors can now insert document metadata values into the header. This works the same way it does in the footer.

Document Types Now Alphabetized

Document types in the document creation wizard are now listed alphabetically by name, including both predefined and custom document types.

Fixes

• Fixed an issue where long document titles ran off the page when a document was printed to PDF. Titles now wrap.
• Fixed an issue where a new version could not be created when a document type update was available but the document hadn't been updated to it. The version is now created as expected. Workflows added in the newer document type version remain unavailable until the document is updated to that version.
