Most of Archer works exactly the same in the New UI. Your data, configurations, and workflows all carry over. There are a few design changes that affect day-to-day behavior we want to highlight, and a small number of legacy features that aren't carried forward.
Day-to-Day Changes
- Single field editing: You no longer have to open the entire record in edit mode to make a quick change. Click a single field to edit it while the rest of the record stays in view.
- Real web pages, real URLs: Records open as standard web pages, each with its own unique URL. You can share them, bookmark them, open them in new tabs. Back, forward, and refresh now work as intended now.
- No close button: Records are their own pages now. Use the breadcrumbs at the top, your browser's Back button, or just close the tab.
- Vertical field value layout: Field values always appear in a vertical stack, which reads better on smaller screens. This affects radio buttons, checkboxes, etc.
- No more list boxes: List boxes and value pop-ups no longer appear. Instead, we have made our dropdown lists searchable.
- Custom Objects: Custom objects will not work on the New UI without reconfiguration.

Legacy Features Not Carried Forward
A few Classic features aren't available in the New UI. Most have a direct replacement. Here is a list of the ones users notice most:
| Classic feature | What to use instead |
|---|---|
| Custom header/footer colors | Set a logo and choose a light or dark header |
| Listboxes and Values Popup | All values lists are in radio buttons, checkboxes, or dropdown fields. Dropdown fields are now filterable. |
| Print button | Export the record to PDF, then print. |
| Voting field type | Not supported on New UI. |
| Bulk record creation | Not supported on New UI. |
| Card and summary display formats | Use Flat, Hierarchical, or Chart display formats |
| Right-click context menu on grids | Use the inline action icons or toolbar on each row |
| Columns in Values Lists (Radio Buttons and Checkboxes) | Not supported on the New UI. All values will show vertically to showcase better on mobile devices. |
