Overview: 

This course explores Custom Objects in Archer. It provides examples of how custom objects are used to customize UI layouts, manipulate and limit data fields, format content, and it goes through a couple of ways to troubleshoot when things don't go as expected.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the functionality of Custom Objects
  • Identify how and when to use Custom Objects in Applications.
  • Work with tools that use Custom Objects as their main function
  • Use different methods to debug your Custom Object Code
  • Use the Developer Tools in browsers to debug code
  • Work with Broadhead code structure for NGRX Custom Objects

Audience: 

Archer administrators who are already comfortable with Archer Administration and web design and development.

Duration:  

6-8 Hours

**Note: Archer Academy’s on-demand lab environment is provided for 20 hours of overall practice time over a 4-week period.

Prerequisite Knowledge/Skills:

  • Archer Admin Essentials or equivalent in real-world experience
    • Requires Archer administration skills, including creation and modification of applications, data-driven events, calculated fields, and layout configuration
  • Participants should also be proficient with web design and development technologies. Creating custom objects requires the participant to be able to write and modify HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and Regular Expressions. 

Participants without this knowledge may not have the foundational skills required to complete this training.
