2019 January RSA Archer Champions Meeting
Team,
RSA Archer Champions,
Happy New Year!
Welcome to 2019.
Thanks to those who were able to join yesterday's call. For those who were unable to attend, I wanted to make some notes available to you.
The attached 20190110Champions PDF file is the deck that I walked through during the call.
The Champions Call - RSA Exchange R6 Overview 01-10-2019 PDF is the deck that Christine Tran presented doing a recap of what we included in the Exchange R6 release.
The open forum section of the mainly consisted of two conversations:
- Back Office page changes (specifically Manage Groups)
- Advanced Workflow insights, feedback, and ideas.
James Griffith? (Director Engineering) gave the group to offer some feedback and insights around their use of Groups and the behaviour of the Manage Groups page. There are some controls that are unique to this page (the hierarchical display) that RSA wanted feedback around. As usual, there was a bit of a dichotomy between how people use it. Some use nesting extensively, but most use only two levels. Including more robust and persistent filtering seemed to be an area of agreement.
Troy Nelson? had raised the question for feedback around Advanced Workflow as they were starting to look at adopting it. Again, there was a mix of responses. Many of the "old guard" were maintaining their use of the tried and true, DDEs that were already in place. Kevin Corbett and Margo Brosnan were the leaders in adoption and implementation. Margo's Advanced Workflow Gatekeeper was identified as a document worth reading for insights.
One of the tenets that I've held is that there is no reason to migrate an existing process to Advanced Workflow unless the process was changing anyhow or the current solution was overly complex / unsupportable (e.g., hundreds of DDEs).
If I missed anything, or if you have feedback, please add to the comments below.
Please join us again in March when Denise Sposato will facilitate and we look to have a preview of the next version of RSA Archer!
Thanks again,
B.J.
