The notification of associates that they were part of a Legal Hold was very manual and tracked through returned emails saved to a file server. The ability to track affected associates was also manual through various spreadsheets. Managing legal holds was a full time associate’s responsibility which included sending out, tracking and reporting on legal holds.
Through the use of several on demand applications, integration with core Contacts application and use of standard archer functionality like questionnaires and notifications we implemented a solution that automated this whole process. It also provided real time reporting on compliance to legal holds.

A very simple solution using Archer core functionality streamlined a very manual error prone process.

Managing legal holds was a full time associate’s responsibility which included sending out, tracking and reporting on legal holds. Today it takes one associate less than 5 hours per week to manage all legal holds.
