6x Upgrade
That was a great 6x discussion on our last call. Glen – thanks for bringing it up! I have a lot of questions regarding the upgrade but didn’t want to take over the last call. It is great to be part of this group and I believe we can help each other with some of the pain points mentioned. As we are all moving towards (or have already completed) the 6x upgrade, I wanted to reach out to see if anyone wanted to get together to discuss it and leverage each other’s expertise in the area? Although I have a DSE who I know will help us tremendously, it would be helpful to hear what other clients have gone through. Some things that come to mind are planning the upgrade, training materials, what’s changing, challenges encountered, pain points and lessons learned. Thoughts?

Darcey ...
I will defer to the Champions to provide you with their individual experiences upgrading from 5.x to 6.x but I wanted to make sure that you were aware of some helpful 'getting started' documentation and videos that will be a tremendous assistance in anticipation of your upgrade. Check out these getting started documents and videos:
Go to RSA Archer Platform and check out the 'Latest 6.x Release Announcements' which include documents like the Upgrade Process, What's New, Support Guidance, and more
Go to Platform 6.1 if upgrading to 6.1
Go to Platform 6.2 if upgrading to this version
And, most definitely, check out the Solutions and Use Cases page, which also includes 'Use Case Overview videos' for each of the 30+ use cases - these videos are about 4-5 minutes in length and are great tools for understanding the use cases ... and they are available to you, free, 24/7.
Ed Services also offers free On-Demand courses for all 7 Solutions; that average 30-45 minutes in length and are again a good foundation for understanding each solution.

Hi Darcey,
we will upgrade our production environment this Thursday and I´m really excited to hear the user's reactions to the new UI. Personally, I found a few things that I would like to have changed which is why I signed up for Benjamin Blinn´s UX User Group.
If you want to set up some sort of Champion sub-group I am happy to join to a) share my experiences and b) hear about yours :-)
Best regards from Munich,
Fabian

Darcey,
Here at Costco we are a Google shop so Chrome is our default browser. We planned to release 6.2 into production because it no longer has Silverlight in the client pages. It was unsettling to hear all the problems folks were having with 6.2. We are running 6.2 p1 in Dev and Test. Plan on opening Test to clients soon. We are still working on training packages.

Darcey,
we at MassMutual had planned on implementing 6.2 in mid July 2017 as that was the least disruptive time. We presented to our Steering Committee the option of delaying the upgrade until 6.3 is available and stable. They opted to stay with our current plan of upgrading to 6.2 with one button and then follow up with the introduction of 2nd button most likely 1st Quarter 2018. We will need to update our training documentation and update our business readiness. There were several changes in 6.2 we wanted to get as soon as possible; Chrome and not having a record go to the top of the screen when hitting Apply.

Hi Glen, Thanks for bringing this conversation topic up at the last meeting. We have a 6.1 version up and are making it available for end users to provide feedback on the training/ ease of adoption. We will look for their input, but will likely recommend the same approach you mentioned (want to get v6.2 and hope that the users can adapt to the changing buttons)

Hi everyone! Thanks for your responses. Do you think we should set up a meeting to talk through some of this?
