Announcing Archer Platform Release 2025.06 Update Release 03

Summary

Archer Platform Update Release 2025.06.03 delivers a target bug fix for the Archer Platform.

This release is available to SaaS clients in the Archer SaaS Non-Production area on July 17, 2025, after 3:30AM UTC and the Archer SaaS Production area on July 23, 2025, after 4:00AM UTC.

Release Notes

·        Archer Announces Availability of Archer Release 2025.06.03.

·        The difference between Update Release 1 and Update Release 3 is an internally found defect. The details are as follows:

Update on Character Encoding Behavior and Recent Fix Rollback: Archer has always contained scenarios where special characters and/or character encoding can behave differently through different input and output vectors. This has long been a significant source of client support issues.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving usability and reliability, we’ve launched a program to streamline and enhance how these scenarios are handled. Recently, we identified a defect related to encoding functionality that caused HTML self-closing HTML tags to display raw markup in Calculations and Data Feeds. This issue had the potential to affect all users. A fix was initially planned for the 2025.06.01 release. However, we discovered that the fix did not fully resolve the issue. To ensure consistency with known behavior, we made the decision to revert to the previous behavior in the 2025.06.02 release. Details about this change were shared in the Technical Advisory. We received valuable feedback from clients indicating that the change was being introduced too quickly, without adequate time for preparation. In response, we’ve decided to defer this update from the upcoming release. While we still believe this change will be beneficial in the long term, we want to ensure it is introduced thoughtfully and with ample communication. As a result, self-closing HTML tags will continue to be exposed as they are in the SaaS Production 2025.04.03 release today.

We’ll provide further updates and guidance in the future as we revisit this enhancement. Some of these changes may require action on your part, and we’ll be sure to communicate those clearly and in advance.

What does this mean to you?

·        Script results: No action is needed for this release.

·       Open Support cases regarding invalid HTML discovery: These can now be closed.
