We are thrilled to announce that our newly designed User Interface (UI) is now available on SaaS Non-Production environments! Packed with fresh features, intuitive navigation, and a modern look, the new UI is designed to make your experience smoother and more efficient.
In this blog, we will walk you through the configuration steps to enable the new UI for your environment. Let us get started!
Seamless Transition
While building the NGRX stack from the ground up, we prioritized compatibility, ensuring you could seamlessly leverage your existing configuration without any changes. This flexibility allows you to toggle between the Classic Experience and the new experience without requiring additional configuration changes.
How to Choose Your Experience
The choice of user experience lies in the hands of your Archer Admins. They can manage and customize the experience for all users by selecting from the following four options:
- Classic: Users have access only to the classic experience.
- Classic Default: Users default to the Classic Experience but can switch to the new experience.
- New: Users have access only to the new experience.
- New Default: Users default to the new experience but can switch to the Classic Experience.
Admin Configuration
Archer Administrators can easily configure these settings through the Archer Instance Manager (AIM). By connecting to the specific instance, and select the desired option as shown in the UI below:
User Preferences
If your Archer Administrator selects the “Classic Default” or “New Default” options, you can toggle between the Classic and New user experiences through the User Preferences Menu.
- Classic Experience: Users will see an option to switch to the new experience.
- New Experience: Users will see an option to switch to the Classic Experience.
Once you’ve selected your preferred experience, you’ll continue to see pages in that experience until you decide to toggle again.
Dashboards
It’s important to note that Classic and New Dashboards are available in both the Classic and New Experiences. These dashboards function independently of the toggle options and cannot be configured through the user experience settings. This ensures that users can access the full range of dashboard features, regardless of the selected interface.
Session Management
When a user logs out and logs back in, their experience will automatically default to the instance-level settings configured by the Archer Administrator. This ensures a consistent experience aligned with your organization’s preferences while still allowing flexibility for those who can switch between the Classic and new experiences.
Thank you for being an integral part of the Archer community. We hope you enjoy the new Archer Next Generation Risk Experience!
