We’re introducing a new capability in Archer SaaS that gives clients more control over how they create and manage JavaScripts : Self-Managed JST (Java Script Transport).
Today, JavaScripts need to be submitted to Archer for review and signing before they could be used. While this ensured security, it also added time between development and deployment.
With Self-Managed JST, clients can now upload, validate, and run their own scripts without manual approval from Archer. This reduces wait time and makes automation faster, while continuing to meet Archer’s security and reliability standards.
General Availability: Available Now
What’s New
- Clients fully own and manage their scripts.
- Each script is automatically validated on upload.
- Scripts run in secure, isolated environments.
- New scripts and updates can be deployed much faster.
How It Works
- Enable Self-Managed JST (Java Script Transport) from Archer Instance Manager.
- When a script is uploaded in the JavaScript Transport Data Feed, it automatically goes through a validation process.
- If validation succeeds, script becomes ready for immediate use.
- If a script requires further review, clients can contact their Archer representative for assistance.
Note:
- Existing Signed JSTs (JavaScript Transport) will continue to work as they do today.
- The current signing process will remain available for clients who prefer to continue using it.
This shift from signed JSTs to Self-Managed JST reflects Archer’s continued focus on client autonomy, enabling teams to extend the platform securely and at their own pace.
