Availability: Available now in Non-Production environments for New UI.
We're excited to announce that the Archer New UI now includes native integration with Microsoft OneDrive. You can browse, link, and govern documents stored in your Microsoft environment.
What's New
With this integration, Archer users can now:
- Browse and link files directly from OneDrive — Select files from your Microsoft file picker and link them to any Archer record through the External Links field.
- Access linked documents instantly — Open linked documents directly from the Archer record page with a single click, keeping your workflow uninterrupted.
- View rich document metadata — See who last updated a document, when it was updated, the current version number, and the full version history — all from within Archer.
Why This Matters
Evidence management is at the core of GRC - policies, control documentation, audit workpapers, risk assessments, regulatory filings. Most of it already lives in OneDrive. The problem has never been where the documents are stored; it's been the disconnect between those documents and the processes that depend on them.
This integration closes that gap. Documents stay where your teams manage them. Archer becomes the layer that links, tracks, and governs them. That means:
· Stronger evidence management — Tie audit evidence directly to the controls, risks, or findings they support.
· Single source of truth — Link directly to the authoritative document in OneDrive, so teams always reference the latest version.
· Better compliance posture — Demonstrate to auditors and regulators that document handling follows a governed, traceable process.
· Streamlined workflows — Eliminate the back-and-forth of downloading, emailing, and re-uploading document versions between different teams or team members.
Security & Permissions
This integration is built on Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), so your existing security model carries through:
· Permission inheritance — Archer honors the OneDrive permissions already configured in your Microsoft tenant. Users only see documents they are entitled to access.
· Scoped tenant connection — The Entra app registration uses delegated permissions; Archer never receives broader access than the end user already has.
· Auditable trail — All linking, unlinking, and access events are logged for compliance review.
How to enable it
1. Ensure your organization has a Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) tenant.
2. Your Archer administrator enables the integration through AIM (Archer Instance Management), connects your organization's Microsoft Entra tenant, and you're ready to go.
3. Users can begin linking OneDrive files from the External Links field on any Archer record.

Archer’s mission has always been to bring clarity, control, and confidence to how organizations manage risk and compliance. With native OneDrive integration, we’re making it easier to keep your critical documents connected to the GRC processes that depend on them.
