Announcement : Retirement of Classic Dashboards

With the introduction of the new dashboards in the 6.13 release (2023), we are formally announcing the retirement of classic dashboards across both OnPrem and SaaS deployments. This change is part of our long‑ term‑ platform evolution toward a more modern, scalable, and maintainable dashboard experience. 

Key drivers behind this change include: 

• A modern WYSIWYG interface that allows dashboards to be created and edited on a single screen, without navigating across multiple pages  
• A responsive layout that adapts seamlessly across devices, enabling consistent experiences on different screen sizes  
• New widget types and layout flexibility, making dashboards more expressive and easier to tailor to specific use cases  

Classic dashboards will be officially retired starting with the LTS 2026.12 and 2027.02 SaaS releases. We are intentionally providing a long transition window, spanning multiple major releases, to provide sufficient time to plan, migrate, and validate the dashboards without disruption. 

After these releases: 

• Users will no longer be able to view, create or edit classic dashboards 
• No further escalations, fixes, or improvements will be supported for classic dashboards going forward  

Transition Support and Enablement 

We understand and are here to support you during this transition period. 

1. Dashboard Conversion Utility: A dedicated dashboard conversion utility is available to help migrate classic dashboards to the new dashboard.  

2. Create New Dashboards from Existing Reports: Reports already tagged to classic dashboards can be directly used to create new dashboards, ensuring continuity without starting from scratch.

3. Clear Guidance on Supported Features: Detailed Help documentation outlines which widgets and configurations are supported in new dashboards. 

This announcement is being made well in advance to ensure transparency and to give you adequate time to prepare.
